Terms of Use
Last updated 1 November 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of nobspoker, based in Victoria, Australia (“we”, “us”), which runs the nobspoker game (the “Service”) at nobspoker.com. By using the Service you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. nobspoker is not gambling
nobspoker is a free-to-play social poker game for entertainment.
- Chips have no cash value. You can't cash out, sell, trade or transfer chips, cosmetics or any other in-game item, on the Service or anywhere else. We never pay out chips, prizes or items for money or anything of value.
- You can't win real money or prizes of real-world value.
- Buying chips or becoming a Supporter doesn't change the cards you're dealt or your chance of winning. Every shuffle is committed to before the hand and can be checked afterwards (section 9).
3. Who can play
- You must be 18 or older. The Service contains simulated gambling and is for adults only.
- Joining public tables, playing ranked or buying chips needs a free account and confirming you're 18 or older. Hosting or joining a friend's game needs no account; you confirm you're 18 or older first. We may ask you to confirm your age again, or to complete a stronger age check, at any time.
- Don't use the Service where doing so is against the law where you are.
4. Accounts
- You can play some games as a guest. Guest progress is tied to your browser and may be lost if you clear it.
- A free account uses your email address, a username and a password (or Google or Apple sign-in). We ask you to confirm your email before the account is active. Creating an account from a guest session keeps your guest chips.
- One account per person and per email address. Don't create extra accounts, share your account, or use someone else's.
- Keep your password secret and use one you don't use elsewhere. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@nobspoker.com if you think someone else has used it.
- Your username must not be offensive, misleading or impersonate anyone. We may change or remove it.
5. Chips and free rewards
- New players start with 10,000 chips. Members can collect free chips: a daily bonus (a 7-day streak; a missed day pauses it rather than resetting it), a top-up to 2,000 when your balance falls below 1,000 (at most every 8 hours), and, where offered, rewarded ads.
- Free chip rewards are one claim per person and per device. We use a device identifier to enforce this (see the Privacy Policy).
- Chips are a limited licence to use a feature of the Service. They aren't your property, they have no value outside the Service, and they don't earn interest.
- We may correct chips, prizes or items that were credited by mistake, through a bug, or through a breach of these terms.
- Chip amounts, rewards and prices may change. We'll tell you before a change that affects something you've already paid for.
6. Buying chips and Supporter membership
- You can buy chip packs and the Supporter membership by card. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in the shop in Australian dollars.
- We never receive or store your card details. Stripe handles them.
- Chips are added to your balance once payment is confirmed. You can buy at most 3 chip packs per day (Australian Eastern time).
- Supporter costs A$6.99 a month or A$59.99 a year and renews automatically until you cancel. It currently includes 3× the daily bonus, 50,000 chips each month, 30% off chip packs, no ads, Supporter cosmetics and hand statistics. It never affects the cards dealt or ranked play. Cancel any time in Me › Purchases; it stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. Chip purchases are final once the chips are delivered, except where the Australian Consumer Law gives you a right to a remedy. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. If a payment is refunded or charged back, we remove the purchased chips, and if they've been spent we may restrict the account.
- Shop offers are never timed or triggered by losing. The shop only opens when you choose to visit it.
7. Spending limits and breaks
- You can set daily, weekly and monthly spending limits in Me › Play limits. They apply straight away, and you can change or remove them at any time.
- You can take a break from buying for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or permanently. A break can't be shortened or cancelled early. It blocks purchases and stops Supporter renewing; you can keep playing with chips you already have.
- If playing stops being fun, take a break. Free, confidential support is available from Gambling Help Online: 1800 858 858 or gamblinghelponline.org.au.
8. Ways to play
- Home games. A host creates a private table and shares a link. Hosts can approve seats, pause, change blinds, add chips for that game, remove players and end the game. Chips a host adds are for that game only and never reach anyone's balance. At the end, the table's ledger can be shared.
- Public tables have fixed stakes. Buy-ins come from your balance, and high-stakes tables need a minimum balance. When you're the only player, bots may fill seats. Bots are always labelled BOT.
- Ranked. A ranked run costs 5,000 chips and gives you a separate ranked stack. Leaving the table pauses your run; busting ends it. A run counts on the weekly leaderboard once you've played at least 30 hands and cashed out. Each week the best single run per player ranks; the top three receive chips and a badge. Prizes have no real-world value. We may remove results and withhold prizes after cheating or a bug.
- Clubs. Founding a club costs 50,000 chips. Clubs have up to 50 members, who join by invite link, and can schedule games that members RSVP to.
- Cosmetics (felts, card backs, avatar frames, emotes) are bought with chips or earned. They're a licence to use them on the Service and can't be transferred.
9. Fair play
Every shuffle comes from a server seed we commit to (by publishing its hash) before the hand, combined with seeds from players. After the hand you can check the deal on the Verify page.
You must not:
- collude with other players, share hole cards, or play more than one account at a table;
- deliberately lose chips to another account (“chip dumping”) or trade chips for anything of value;
- use bots, scripts, solvers or other tools to play for you or advise you during a hand;
- exploit bugs (please report them to us instead);
- interfere with or overload the Service, or try to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
We monitor for these (for example, unusual chip flows between accounts and shared devices) and review what we find. We may void hands, reverse chip movements, remove ranked results and suspend or close accounts.
10. Chat and conduct
Be decent. Don't post hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content, spam, links or contact details, or anything illegal. Messages with slurs, links or contact details are blocked automatically. You can mute a player or report a message; reports are reviewed. We may mute chat, or suspend or close accounts, for breaches.
11. Suspension and closing your account
- We may suspend or close an account, or remove chips, items or results, if you breach these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect players or the Service. Where reasonable we'll tell you why.
- You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to close your account at support@nobspoker.com. Chips, remaining Supporter time and items are lost when an account is closed, except where the law requires otherwise.
12. The Service
- We may change, suspend or discontinue features, including chip values, rewards and games. If we close the Service, we'll give at least 30 days' notice.
- Games may be interrupted by connection problems. If you disconnect, your seat is held for a short time and you may be checked or folded automatically.
- Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and content belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. The fairness verifier is open source under its own licence.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll show the date at the top and tell you about material changes before they apply, for example by email or in the app.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Victoria. Please contact us first at support@nobspoker.com so we can try to sort out any issue.
